From a defined project to an approved sample

Existing FRAYDA models are the recommended starting point for a private-label collection. An original customer design follows a separate route: a defined technical project, feasibility assessment and an agreed sampling quote before development begins.

1. Brief & feasibility

Provide technical drawings or a tech pack, dimensions, construction requirements, materials and planned quantities. We assess the model, material availability, components and supplier minimums. Only a feasible project proceeds to a development and sampling quote.

2. Pattern development

After the feasibility outcome and development quote are approved, a pattern-maker prepares the cutting patterns within the agreed technical scope. Pattern development is part of the production project, not an open-ended design service from an idea.

3. Material sourcing

Leather, lining, hardware and thread are sourced within the approved scope. Special materials, custom hardware and tooling are subject to availability, supplier minimums and the planned order quantities; these conditions are confirmed before sampling.

4. Cutting & preparation

Hides are inspected and cut, edges skived, reinforcements applied. Precision here determines everything downstream.

5. Assembly & finishing

The pieces are stitched, the edges finished, the hardware set. The first sample takes shape.

6. Review

Review the physical sample against the agreed dimensions, construction, materials and function. Any revisions, additional costs and timing are agreed before further work. The approved sample becomes the production reference.

The honest timeline

Sampling and production timing are confirmed in the project quote after feasibility and supplier checks. Original designs generally require higher development costs, longer lead times and higher production quantities than existing models. Plan the launch around the agreed schedule, including approval and material procurement.
